UFC 238: Cejudo vs. Moraes is an upcoming mixed martial arts event produced by the Ultimate Fighting Championship that will be held on June 8, 2019 at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois.

The event is expected to be headlined by a UFC Bantamweight Championship bout for the vacant title between 2008 Olympic gold medalist in freestyle wrestling and current UFC Flyweight Champion Henry Cejudo and former WSOF Bantamweight Champion Marlon Moraes. Two-time champion T.J. Dillashaw was suspended on March 20 due to a failed drug test in relation to his January loss against Cejudo for the flyweight title and therefore decided to vacate his title.

A UFC Women's Flyweight Championship bout between the current champion Valentina Shevchenko and Jessica Eye has been scheduled to take place at the event.

A strawweight bout between Felice Herrig and Xiaonan Yan was scheduled for the event. However, it was reported on April 30 that Herrig withdrew from the event after suffering a torn ACL and has been replaced by Angela Hill.

UFC 238 Results

Henry Cejudo def. Marlon Moraes via third-round TKO (strikes.
Cejudo made history once again by adding to his ever-impressive and growing resume in the combat sports world, becoming UFC’s latest champ-champ after knocking out Marlon Moraes in the third round of their 135-pound title fight. He now holds the 125-pound and 135-pound straps, wins over Demetrious Johnson and T.J. Dillashaw, as well as an Olympic gold medal. That’s a pretty high bar set by “The Messenger.”

Valentina Shevchenko (c) def. Jessica Eye via second-round KO (head kick).
“Bullet” proved without a shadow of a doubt that she is truly one of the best female MMA fighters in the world by dominating Jessica Eye in the opening frame before knocking her out with one of the most vicious head kick knockouts in recent memory in round two.

Tony Ferguson def. Donald Cerrone via second-round TKO (doctor stoppage).
While his win over Donald Cerrone didn’t come as he would’ve liked — a doctor’s stoppage because of “Cowboy’s” mistake of blowing his broken nose — a win is a win for “El Cucuy,” who has gone to the winner’s circle 12 straight times now. The victory should put him at the top of the list for a shot at the Lightweight title, and could potentially set up a much-desired showdown against Khabib Nurmagomedov should “The Eagle” get through Dustin Poirier at UFC 242. But don’t get it twisted, a fight against “The Diamond” will also be a banger, but Ferguson and Khabib have a ton of history and bad blood, as they’ve teased us with a potential war time and time again.

Petr Yan def. Jimmie Rivera via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 30-27)
Blagoy Ivanov def. Tai Tuivasa via unanimous decision (29-28, 30-27, 30-27)
Tatiana Suarez def. Nina Ansaroff via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)
Aljamain Sterling def. Pedro Munhoz via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)
Alexa Grasso def. Karolina Kowalkiewicz via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)
Calvin Kattar def. Ricardo Lamas via first-round TKO (strikes)
